In collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), more than 210 Indian missions and embassies across the world organised grand yoga camps at over 2,500 historical and public places.

A grand yoga camp was organized at the iconic Lincoln Memorial, attended by hundreds of yoga enthusiasts, in the presence of Indian Ambassador to the United States Vinay Kwatra. Special "Ayurveda Corners" were also created to provide information on traditional Ayurvedic practices. Meanwhile, in collaboration with the Indian Consulate General in New York, a large yoga gathering was coordinated at the world-famous Times Square, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi's yoga guru, H.R. Nagendra, led the session.

The Indian Embassy in the US shared some pictures on the social media platform 'X' and wrote, "IDY 2026 wasn't just about yoga! From an Ayurveda corner showcasing traditional wellness practices to kick-off events in Dupont Circle, the World Bank, and with local communities—the Indian Embassy brought the spirit of yoga to every corner of Washington, D.C."

Apart from this, the popularity of yoga was seen from Shanghai to Toronto and from Africa to Australia. The Consulate General of India in Shanghai, China organized a huge session at the famous Bond Finance Centre (BFC). In Toronto, Canada, a mass yoga camp was organized in front of the historic Ontario Legislative Assembly building, in which there was a huge presence of NRIs and foreign nationals. Victoria Square in Birmingham, UK and the embassies of Germany and Sweden in Europe also gave the message of staying healthy to the people through yoga camps in large open grounds.

A large-scale Yoga festival was organised at the Olympic Park in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where for the first time, special yoga sessions were organised for the disabled and an exhibition of traditional Indian cuisine and clothes was organised.

Bridging the gap between cultures and languages, people from different corners of the world practiced yoga and pranayama in unison through the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP), translated into the six official languages of the United Nations—Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish. This gathering on foreign soil clearly demonstrates that 'Yoga of India' is no longer just a one-day celebration, but has become a major global 'wellness movement', becoming a part of workplaces and lifestyles around the world.
